How can we help?

Answers to the most common questions about StepCity.

My steps aren't syncing. What should I do?

StepCity needs permission to read your step count. Open your phone's Settings and allow StepCity to read steps in Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android), then tap Sync again. If the app couldn't read your steps, it shows an Open Settings button that takes you there.

How are my steps counted?

Every step is one StepCoin. Your first sync counts the last 7 days, and every new mayor starts with at least 20,000 StepCoins. After that, each sync counts everything you walked since your last one, up to 100,000 steps at a time.

Do I have to log my walks?

No. StepCity reads the steps your phone already counts through Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android). Just walk, then tap Sync.

How do I restore my purchases?

Tap Restore Purchases in the Shop or in Settings. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with.

How do I move my city to a new phone?

In Settings, open Backup/Restore your city and link your Apple or Google account. On your new phone, link the same account and tap Restore. Restoring replaces the city on that phone, so only do it if you want the backed-up one.

How do I delete my account?

If you've linked an account, go to Settings and tap Delete account. This permanently deletes your progress and can't be undone. Your past purchases aren't affected — Restore Purchases brings them back. You can also email us to ask for your data to be deleted.

Is StepCity free?

Yes. It's free to download and free to play. Every building is bought with StepCoins you earn by walking. The optional extras in the Shop speed things up or add cosmetics — they never unlock gameplay.

Is my health data private?

StepCity only reads your step count, only to convert it into StepCoins. It never writes to your health data and never shares it. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What happens if I skip a day of walking?

Nothing bad. Nobody moves out, nothing decays, and there are no streaks to lose. Your city simply waits for your next walk.
